Oh lord NFreak ( 8131 ) ( Admin ) - So hang in there for a little while longer and you'll be able to play the greatest game in the history of online browser-based RPGs. This is some seriously good shit I'm coookin' up. NFreak ( 8130 ) ( Admin ) - Anyways, not to brag or anything, but I've gotten much better at coding, web design, css, and search engine optimization since Arena came out. Thus, I am expecting that people will find Fortress through Google because of all the attention I'm putting on Googlebot. Also, the game will run super fast. So far, all pages run under 8 ms. Arena is probably 100 - 500 ms on average. Additionally, the game's layout is extremely css heavy, meaning that the browser will be able to piece it together very easily, so refreshing a page will be seamless. I guarantee that every single person who plays Fortress will enjoy it more than Arena; if not, then it's because of Arena's friendly community which i hope translates over to the new game. I work on Fortress an average of 5 hours a day, every day, and I'm working on it right now. Arena was made in a week. NFreak ( 8127 ) ( Admin ) - For example, in Arena, training units and buying market items because cheap as hell after the games inflated enough. You could untrain all your units and retrain them into something else and it wouldn't put a dent in your funds. Fortress is much more balanced, where gold is going to be much more important, for many things; units, items in the market, upgrading, secret other feature, secret other other feature, and probably more than I can't think of at the moment. But either way, it's gonna be amazing, and I will fix the issues with thigns becoming too cheap over time. When you get exp, it checks to see if you got enough to level up, then it computes your new stat points and new exp requirements. It doesn't loop through to check if you leveled again. I could change all DB integers to "BIGINTS" which hold much more than 2.1 billion, or I could just use unsigned ints which would be 4.2 billion. Maybe I'll change that sometime soon.
